- My son was completely addicted to watching this movie on VHS when he was young. One day he came to me and said, "I don't like Grandpa Joe." I was confused and asked him why and he told me, "Grandpa Joe tries to make Charlie go blind." I asked him to show me on the tape and he showed me this part where Grandpa Joe yells at Charlie to "look at the sun". I told him he had a good point, Grandpa Joe was definitely evil.
